About me
Being a direct-disciple of Sri Vishwesha Teertha, I studied for twelve years at Poornaprajna Vidyapeetha, Bangalore and started my professional journey as Vedic teacher in the same institute. In 1994, I joined the Ganesh Temple in Nashville, USA, as a priest. Two years later, I continued the priestly duties at the Sri Mandir and eventually helped establish a new temple - 'The Shiva-Vishnu Temple of San Diego' in San Diego, California, USA . Wanting my children to be educated in India, I returned back in 2003 and joined Sri Kumaran's College, Bangalore as Sanskrit lecturer.
Recognizing the need to educate children in traditional subjects involving Indian Knowledge System, I started teaching Vedas and Sanskrit to young children in the evenings. Children continue their regular schools during the day and in the evenings, they learn Sanskrit. Today, at Sri Vishwesha Dhama, around 90 students study various subjects like Vedas, Samskritam, Bhagavadgita, Amarakosha, Ashtadhyayi and more.
I strongly believe in leveraging the latest technologies to make the learning easier and fun to the children. My teaching practices include usage of slide-shows, animation, innovative and engaging games to ensure children are ever interested and enjoy the learning process.
